ASTM – 2018 Property Condition Assessments

A property condition assessment for commercial real estate is often completed in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard 2018-15 or other version.  The official title of the standard is “Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments: Baseline Property Condition Assessment Process.  The purpose of the standard is to establish good commercial and customary practice in the United States for a baseline evaluation of the property during a walk thru survey and conducting research as defined in the guidelines.  Independent Property Inspection Consultants of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania performs these PCA’s for clients including lenders, banks, commercial property buyers, and other clients.
